Is Bracket right for you?

We’d rather lose a bad-fit client now than disappoint you later. Here’s a frank self-assessment.

You’re probably a great fit if…

  • You have a workplace pension — especially a defined-benefit plan, or a commuted-value offer to weigh.
  • You have equity compensation (RSUs, stock options, ESPP) or a meaningful bonus that’s becoming a real share of your net worth.
  • You’re incorporated (a P.Eng or geoscience consultant, contractor, or FIFO professional) and juggling salary vs dividends and corporate investing.
  • Your household income is high enough that taxes are your biggest expense — and you suspect you’re not optimizing them.
  • You’re a capable DIY investor who has run out of time or appetite to keep optimizing the complicated parts.
  • You value understanding the why, not just being handed an answer.

You might not need us (yet) if…

  • You’re early-career, renting, no equity, and just need to “buy a couch-potato portfolio and max the TFSA.” That’s genuinely most of the game — read the FIRE guides and come back when it gets complex.
  • You want someone to pick hot stocks or beat the market. We don’t do that, because nobody reliably does.
  • You want the cheapest possible option above all else. Robo-advisors exist and they’re fine for simple situations.
